Let \(K\) be a compact Hausdorff space without isolated points, and let \(E\) be a Banach lattice. The following spaces are introduced in this paper \(C_{0}(K,E):=\{f: f\) is \(E\)-valued and for each \(\varepsilon >0\), \(\{k:\|f(k)\|>\varepsilon\}\) is finite\}, \(l^{\infty}_{\omega}(K,E):=\{f: f\) is \(E\)-valued and \(\{k:\|f(k)\|\not=0\}\) is countable\}, \(CD_{0}(K,E):=C(K,E)+C_{0}(K,E)\) and \(CD_{\omega}(K,E):=C(K,E)+l^{\infty}_{\omega}(K,E)\). The authors generalize to the vector-valued setting several results known for spaces of real-valued functions and with \(K\) a basically disconnected compact Hausdorff space [see \textit{Yu. A. Abramovich}, and \textit{A. W. Wickstead}, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 180, No. 2, 398-411(1993; Zbl 0792.46004) and Indiana Univ. Math. J. 45, No. 3, 709-720 (1996; Zbl 0885.46014)]. Among the various properties considered here, we quote the following: (1) The spaces \(CD_{\lambda}(K,E)\;(\lambda=0,\;\omega)\) are Banach lattices under the pointwise operations. (2) If \(K\) is basically disconnected, then \(CD_{0}(K,E)\) has a sequentially ordercontinuous norm iff \(E\) has. (3) The space \(CD_{\omega}(K,E)\) has the Cantor property iff \(K\) is an \(F\)-space and \(E\) has compact order intervals. (4) The center of \(CD_{0}(K,E)\) is isometrically and lattice isomorphic to the space of bounded \(Z(E)\)-valued mappings on \(K\) that act on \(CD_{0}(K,E)\) as multipliers. Some other properties of these spaces are discussed, in particular, the structure of their duals and a vector-valued version of a Banach-Stone theorem given by \textit{Y. A. Abramovich} and \textit{A. W. Wickstead} for real-valued mappings [op. cit.].
