Kakutani's theorem on abstract \(L^p\)-spaces is extended from the case of \(p\in (1,\infty)\) to the case of \(p\in (0,\infty)\), i.e., if \(E\) is a Riesz space, \(p\in (0,\infty)\) and \(N: E\to (0,\infty)\) is positive-homogeneous, positive for \(x\neq 0\), monotonic, orthogonally \(p\)-additive and satisfies some completeness property, then there are a measure space \((S,{\mathcal A},\mu)\) and an isometrical Riesz isomorphism \(\Omega: E\to L^p(\mu)\) such that \(N(x)= \|\Omega(x)\|_p\) for all \(x\in E\). There is an outline of the proof.
