An affine topological semigroup is the semidirect product \(V\rtimes\mathbb R\) of a real topological vector space \(V\) and the multiplicative semigroup of real numbers \(\mathbb R\), where the latter is acting on the additive group of \(V\) via scalar multiplication. Let \(G\) be the identity component \(V\rtimes]0, +\infty[\) of the group of units of \(V\rtimes\mathbb R\). The paper contains four sections: Introduction, Preliminaries, The one-point compactification and The Bohr compactification. In the second section the author introduces the notion of a cone in the topological group \(G=V\rtimes]0,+\infty[\) for infinite dimensional \(V\). The third section is devoted to the study of one-point compactifications of cones in \(G\). In the fourth section the author describes the Bohr compactification \((i_S, S^b)\) of a locally compact proper cone \(S\) of the group \(G\). It is proven that the minimal ideal \(M(S^b)\) of \(S^b\) is a left group and the one-point compactification of \(S\) is topologically and algebraically isomorphic to the Rees quotient semigroup \(S^b/M(S^b)\). The Bohr compactification of the inverse cone of \(S\) in the topological group \(G\) is also described.
