Linearization problems for Lie algebroids and Lie groupoids (Q1590159)

This is a survey on the author's recent results and conjectures on linearization problems for Lie algebroids and Lie groupoids, motivated by linearization problems for Poisson manifolds. In particular, a conjecture about the structure of a proper groupoid with a fixed point is stated; it leads to conjectures on almost actions of compact groups on manifolds. Possible extensions of the convexity theorem for moment maps to the context of Lie groupoids are also discussed.
