The necessity of a fuzzy number \(z\) belonging to a set \(D\) is defined as \(\text{Nes}(z/D)= 1-\sup_{x\not\in D} z(x)\). Let \(a_1,\dots, a_n,\dots\) be a sequence of fuzzy numbers, \(\overline a_n\) the \(T\)-arithmetic mean of \(a_1,\dots, a_n\) w.r.t. a t-norm \(T\) and \(m_n\) the modal value of \(\overline a_n\). The sequence \(a_1,\dots, a_n,\dots\) obeys a law of large numbers (LLN) if for all \(\varepsilon> 0\), \(\text{Nes}(\overline a_n/[m_n- \varepsilon, m_n+\varepsilon])\) tends to \(1\) for \(n\to\infty\). A sequence \(a_1,\dots, a_n,\dots\) with identical modal value \(a\) satisfies a strong LLN if \[ \lim_{n\to\infty} \overline a_n(x)= \begin{cases} 1\quad &\text{if }x= a,\\ 0\quad &\text{if }x\neq a.\end{cases} \] For sequences of fuzzy numbers with bounded spreads, LLN's are well investigated. This is not so in the unbounded case. Here, \textit{R. Badard} [Inf. Sci. 28, 161-178 (1982; Zbl 0588.60004)] has proved a strong LLN for the product-t-norm and fuzzy numbers with special exponential membership. The authors generalize this result and present strong LLN's and LLN's for general Archimedean t-norms.
