The author conciders in a Hilbert space the initial value problem for the equation \[ \dot y=f(y(t), y(t-\tau))\quad \text{where}\quad \text{Re} \langle u,f(u,v)\rangle\leq \gamma +\alpha\|u\|^2+\beta\|v\|^2. \] To solve this problem the one-leg \(k\) step method is considered. It is proved that the proposed method is dissipative if and only if it is A-stable (strictly A-stable for infinite-dimensional dynamic systems).
