On sufficient conditions for convergence of two-dimensional continued fractions (Q1591306)

The two--dimensional continued fraction \[ D_{i=0}^\infty\frac{a_{ii}}{\Phi_i}\quad\text{where } \Phi_i=b_{ii} +D_{j=i+1}^\infty\frac{a_{ji}}{b_{ji}}+D_{j=i+1}^\infty\frac{a_{ij}}{b_{ij}} \] was introduced by the author in 1978 as a generalization of Stieltjes fractions to power series of two complex variables. In the present paper the author uses her trick with a majorant continued fraction to prove convergence criteria of Worpitzky and Śleszyński-Pringsheim type for such continued fractions.
