Let \(M\) be a complex manifold and denote by \({\mathcal X}_0(M)\) the Lie algebra of all holomorphic vector fields on \(M\). The manifold \(M\) is called to have the density property if the Lie subalgebra of \({\mathcal X}_0(M)\) generated by the complete vector fields on \(M\) is a dense subalgebra. The volume density property is similarly defined. Manifolds with density property have interesting global geometric structures. Next, using the first and second integrals of a holomorphic vector field \(X\) on \(M\) the author introduces the notion of \(X\)-shear fields on \(M\) and then proves, among other things, that the complex Lie group \(\text{SL}(2,\mathbb{C})\) has the density and volume density property. The author also introduces a new class of complex manifolds with holomorphic volume element called EMV manifolds and proves that if \((M,\omega)\) is an EMV manifold, then (\(M\times C\), \(\omega\wedge dz\)) has the volume density property. Finally, the author poses the question whether the volume density property and EMV are different or not.
