Numerical simulations and analysis of the approach to steady states of a model for the dynamic behavior of an automotive thermostat-like system are presented. The model consists of a coupled system of three delay differential equations with hysteresis. The main interest lies in the types of oscillations that such models can exhibit. This is done through the analysis of the steady states and the decay of the solutions to these states.
