    This paper is motivated by the study of liquid-vapor phase transition in shock tubes for fluids with large heat capacity (retrograde fluids). The author introduces two models (without and with the initiation of nuclei), proves the existence of reacting traveling waves, and investigates their stability and convergence properties.
