Uniform decay properties of a model in structural acoustics (Q1593845)

The authors investigate the long-time behavior of the solution of a system of coupled partial differential equations describing the interaction of acoustic waves in a cavity with the cavity walls. Specifically, the wave equation is coupled to a structurally damped plate or beam equation. Two results on uniform stability are presented.
