The Ehrenpreis factorization problem (i.e. \(F\) problem) is the following: Is any function \(\phi\in \mathbb{C}^\infty_0(\mathbb{R}^n)\) a convolution of two functions from \(\mathbb{C}^\infty_0(\mathbb{R}^n)\)? The Fourier-Laplace transformation formulates the \(F\)-problem in terms of entire functions. The negative solution to the problem was obtained for \(n>1\). The author's following basic theorem for entire functions \(f(\lambda)\) and \(F(\lambda)\) makes it possible to answer the \(F\)-problem in affirmative in the case when \(n= 1\): Assume that \(f(\lambda)\) divides \(F(\lambda)\), \(F(0)= 1\), and the estimate \(\ln|F(\lambda)|\leq H(\lambda)\), \(\lambda\in\mathbb{C}\), where \(H(\lambda)\) is a Lipschitzian function. Then \(f\) can be written as a product of two entire functions \(f_1\) and \(f_2\), such that the following relation is valid: \[ \begin{multlined} |\ln|f_1(\lambda)|- \ln|f_2(\lambda)||\leq\\ (A/p)[H(\lambda)- \ln|F(\lambda)|]+ B\sigma\ln^+|\lambda|+ C\ln^+(1/ \rho(\lambda))+ \sigma(D+ Ee^p);\end{multlined} \] where \(\rho(\lambda)= \inf\{|z-\lambda|: f(z)= 0\}\), \(|\text{Im }\lambda|\leq 1/2\), and \(p\in[1,|\lambda|/2]\). \(F\)-problems for \(n=1\) are formulated as corollaries to the basic theorem.
