Several well-known inequalities for minors and eigenvalues of positive definite matrices and operators are sharpened and generalized. Among others, the author presents additive and multiplicative inequalities, converse to Jensen's, Fisher's and Hadamard's inequalities. The proofs are mainly based on exterior algebra techniques.
