    The author studies the systems \[ \{\exp(\lambda_nz)\}_{n=1}^\infty \cup \{\exp(-\lambda_nz)\}_{n=1}^\infty, \tag{1} \] where \( \lambda = \{\lambda_n\} \) is an arbitrary strictly increasing sequence of positive numbers whose upper density being equal by definition to the upper \( \limsup_{n\to\infty} (n/\lambda_n) \) is finite. The following assertions are proved: \( (1)<0.8\); \( \min_{\lambda\in {\mathcal P}(1)} \sigma(\lambda) = \max_{v>0} (v^{-1}\ln(v^2+1)) = 0.8047...\), where \(\sigma(\lambda)\) is the exponential type of the product \[ L_\lambda(z) = \prod_{n=1}^\infty (1-z^2/\lambda_n^2). \]
