For any integer \(n \geq 5\) let \(X(n)\) be the space of configurations of \(n\) distinct points of the real projective line \(RP^1\) up to projective automorphisms. Let the group PGL(2,R) act on \({(RP^1)}^n\) diagonally and set \(D = \{(x_1,\dots,x_n) \in {(RP^1)}^n\mid x_i = x_j\) for some \(i \neq j\}\). Then \(X(n)\) can be identified with the orbit space \(({(RP^1)}^n \smallsetminus D)/\text{PGL(2,R)}\). By considering the real slice of Thurston's complex hyperbolization [\textit{W. P. Thurston}, Shapes of polyhedra and triangulations of the sphere, Geom. Topol. Monogr. 1, 511-549 (1998; Zbl 0931.57010)], the authors established in the first part of their work [Topology 38, No. 3, 497-516 (1999; Zbl 0927.57021)] a real hyperbolic polyhedral structure \(HP\) on each of the connected components of \(X(n)\) via the Schwarz-Christoffel map, where the boundary of each polyhedron is encoded by a degenerate configuration. Using this construction, the space \(X(n)\) can be embedded as an open dense subset in some connected real hyperbolic cone-manifold. An alternative approach for this embedding has been studied by \textit{M. Kapovich} and \textit{J. Millson} [J. Differ. Geom 42, No. 1, 133-164 (1995; Zbl 0847.51026)]. In the cases \(n=5,6\) the authors related in Part I [loc. cit.] their geometrization to the existing deformation theory of hyperbolic structures by interpreting a variation of the angles of \(HP\) as a deformation of the hyperbolic cone structure. The authors proved that for \(n=5,6\) this interpretation is a local embedding around equal angles. In the paper under review the authors show that this local embedding is even globally injective.
