Parametrization of triangle groups as subgroups of \(\text{PSL}(2,q)\) (Q1597750)

The author describes conditions when \(\text{PSL}(2,p)\) is a homomorphic image of the triangle group \(\langle x,y\mid x^2=y^3=(xy)^k=1\rangle\) for a prime number \(k\). More general results one can find in a paper by \textit{U. Langer} and \textit{G. Rosenberger} [Result. Math. 15, No. 1/2, 119-148 (1989; Zbl 0679.20041)].
