Automorphism inducing diffeomorphisms, invariant characterization of homogeneous 3-spaces and Hamiltonian dynamics of Bianchi cosmologies (Q1598130)

The action of the general coordinate transformation group on \(\gamma_{\alpha\beta}\) is carefully examined. The particular set of these transformations which has a well-defined, non-trivial action on \(\gamma_{\alpha\beta}\) is singled out and this set is proven to be the action of the automorphism group of Bianchi type. The differential description of these automorphic motions is presented. The purely kinematical results are compared with ensuing quantum Hamiltonian dynamics. For the lower class A Bianchi types, this comparison reveals an apparent mismatch between the dynamics and kinematics. The discrepancy is eliminated through the notion of conditional symmetries.
