The author constructs a non-crossed product algebra by proving the following theorem: Let \(F\) be a function field of dimension \(n\) over a global field \(k\) with residue class field \(F_0\) and \(\widehat F\) the iterated power series field \(F_0( (t_1))\cdots( (t_n))\). Given numbers \(a_0\), \(b_0\) prime to \(\text{char}(k)\) of appropriately chosen \(p\)-adic value and \(a_1,\dots,a_n\) numbers dividing \(a_0b_0\) such that \(b_0\) divides \(a_1\), then for any division algebra \(D\) the division algebra components of \(D\otimes F\) and \(D\otimes\widehat F\) are non-crossed products of exponent \(a_0b_0\) and index \(a_0\cdots a_n\). The proof is based on Hilbert's irreducibility theorem [see \textit{E. S. Brussel}, Am. J. Math. 117, No. 2, 377-393 (1995; Zbl 0822.16013)] and uses class field theory including Chebotarev's density theorem.
