In previous papers, the authors introduced generalized Chebyshev filters (GCF), for the analog case and in the low-pass variant. This new filter possesses the following properties: (a) its magnitude response is equiripple in the pass-band and in the stop-band (like elliptic filters) and b) its magnitude response possesses \(k\) real frequencies of zero transmission. For \(k\leq 3\), the design of a GCF was given. Here, the case for \(k=4\) and a chosen order of the zero transmission is developed. Numerical experiments are provided. The proposed method is useful in realizing substrate stripline filters. The advantage of the present approach lies in the fact that it provides a smaller spread of element values.
