If \(\rho(x)\) denotes the standard Gaussian density function on real \(d\)-space \(\mathbb{R}^d\) and \(f\in L^p(\mathbb{R}^d,\rho)\) with \(1<p <\infty\), then the Segal-Bargmann transform \(Sf\) of \(f\) is defined by \[ Sf(z)= \int_{\mathbb{R}^d}\rho (z-x) f(x)dx. \] A result of \textit{V. Bargmann} [Commun. Pure Appl. Math. 14, 187-214 (1961; Zbl 0107.09102)] says that any \(F\) holomorphic on complex \(d\)-space \(\mathbb{C}^d\) satisfies a certain bounded integral condition if, and only if, \(F=Sf\) for a unique \(f\in L^2(\mathbb{R}^d,\rho)\). The aim of the present paper is to extend this result to \(f\in L^p (\mathbb{R}^d,\rho)\) for \(p\neq 2\). To this end the author obtains various integral bounds on \(Sf\) and bounded integral conditions on \(F\) which imply \(F=Sf\). Another result says that for all multi-indices \(\alpha\) and \(\beta\), \(F\) satisfies a certain upper bound condition if, and only if, \(F=Sf\) for some smooth \(f\in L^p(\mathbb{R}^d,\rho)\) such that \(x^\alpha (\partial/ \partial x)^\beta f\in L^p(\mathbb{R}^d, \rho)\). Some connections between these results and windowed Fourier transforms, holomorphic convolution transforms, and coherent states are also discussed.
