In this very well written paper, the author considers the following second-order evolution inclusions \[ \begin{aligned} \ddot x(t)+A(t,\dot x(t))+Bx(t)\in F(t,x(t),\dot x(t)),\quad &\text{a.e.}\quad t\in [0,1],\tag{I}\\ \ddot x(t)+A(t,\dot x(t))+Bx(t)\in \overline {\operatorname {co}}F(t,x(t),\dot x(t)), \quad &\text{a.e.} \quad t\in [0,1], \tag{II}\\ \ddot x(t)+A(t,\dot x(t))+Bx(t)\in\operatorname {ext} \overline {\operatorname {co}}F(t,x(t),\dot x(t)), \quad &\text{a.e.} \quad t\in [0,1], \tag{III}\end{aligned} \] subjected to the initial conditions \[ x(0)=x_{0}, \qquad \dot x(0)=y_{0}, \] where \(F(t,x(t),\dot x(t))\) is a nonconvex-valued multifunction, \(\overline {\operatorname{co}} F(t,x(t),\dot x(t))\) is the closed convex hull of the set \(F(t,x(t),\dot x(t))\) and \(\operatorname {ext} \overline{\operatorname {co}}F(t,x(t),\dot x(t))\) is the set of all extreme points of \(\overline {\operatorname {co}}F(t,x(t),\dot x(t)).\) Under appropriate hypotheses on the data, the author shows that the solution set to problem (III) is dense and codense in the solution set to (II). Necessary and sufficient conditions for the closedness of the solution set to (I) in appropriate spaces of functions are given. The proof of the results relies on Schauder's fixed-point theorem and on the theory of continuous extreme selectors of a multifunction with decomposable values. An example illustrating the abstract theory is presented.
