Multiple solutions of some nonlinear elliptic problems containing the \(p\)-Laplacian (Q1603139)

This paper is devoted to study certain nonlinear boundary value problem \[ \Delta_pu+|u|^{q-2}u=h(x), \qquad u|_{\partial\Omega}=0, \tag{1} \] and its generalizations. Here \(\Omega\) is a bounded connected domain with locally Lipschitz boundary and \(\Delta_p\) is the \(p\)-Laplacian given by \(\Delta_pu\equiv \text{div} (|\nabla u|^{p-2}\nabla u)\). The authors analyze the existence of multiple solutions of (1) systematically using the ``algebraic'' approach, which is based on the fibering method. Moreover the authors analyze the existence of solutions \[ \text{div}(|x|^\beta|\nabla u|^{p-2}\nabla u)+ |x|^\alpha|u|^{q-2}u=h \quad\text{in }\Omega, \qquad u|-{\partial\Omega}=0 \] as well.
