The authors study the diagonal Green's function (GF) of body-centered cubic (BBC) pure lattice, and of BBC lattice with a single impurity. At first they cosider the GF of BBC pure lattice \(G^0(L,L;E)= \pi^{-3} \int_{[0,\pi]} \int_{[0,\pi]} \int_{[0,\pi]} (E- \cos(k_x) \cos(k_y) \cos(k_z))^{-1} dk_x dk_y dk_z= 4K^2(k)/(\pi^2 E)\) for \(|E|> 1\), where \(k^2= \{1- (1-E^{-2})\}^{1/2}\) and \(K(k)\) is the complete elliptic integral of the first kind. They derive ``\(G_0(L,L;E)\) for \(|E|< 1\)'', and show its behavior by the graphs. Next suppose that the host atom at the \(L\) site is substituted by a foreign atom having a level lying \(\varepsilon'\) higher than the common level of the host atoms \((L)\). The GF of BBC lattice with a single impurity is defined as \(G(L,E)= G^0(E)/(1- \varepsilon'G^0(E))\). They obtain the density of the states, phase shift, and the scattering cross section expressed in terms of \(K(k_\pm)\), \(k_\pm^2=(1/2)\pm (1-E^2)^{1/2}\), and draw the graphs of them. Fermi energies for \(\varepsilon'\) are also given.
