As was proved by Alexandrov and Pogorelov, an arbitrary Riemannian metric on \(S^2\) with curvature \(K> -1\) is induced on a unique convex surface in the hyperbolic space \(H^3\). A similar result holds with the induced metric replaced by the third fundamental form \(III\). In the paper under review the author shows that the same phenomenon happens with the so called ``horospherical'' metric \(I^*=I+II+III\) where \(I\) and \(II\) are the first and second forms correspondingly. The results are obtained using a duality between \(H^3\) and de Sitter space \(S^3_1\) and are extended in higher dimensions and conformally flat metrics.
