Employing the backstepping method, the paper offers a stabilizing scheme for a SISO system of nonlinear equations with a cascade-type structure which is almost disturbance decoupled. A Lyapunov approach is followed, taking advantage of the cascaded structure. The robustness with respect to uncertain parameters is checked for.
