The paper concerns linear partial differential operators \(P\) of quasi-homogeneous principal type, with \(C^\infty\) real-valued quasi-homogeneous principal symbol \(p_m(x,\zeta)\). Given a smooth submanifold \(S\) defined by \(S=\{F(x)=F(x_0)\}\), assuming \(S\) is noncharacteristics at \(x_0\) and strictly non-pseudoconvex with \(\{\{p_m,F\},F\}\neq 0\), the author proves non-uniqueness of the Cauchy problem \(Pu+hu=0\) with initial data on \(S\), where \(h\) is a suitable \(C^\infty\) function.
