TAF algebras which were introduced by \textit{H. Lin} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 353, 693-722 (2001; Zbl 0964.46044)] may be regarded as \(C^*\)-algebras that can be approximated by finite-dimensional algebras in ``measure''. These algebras work in the classification program for nuclear \(C^*\)-algebras which was recently studied by some mathematicians. In the paper under review, the author constructs the inductive limit of matrix algebras over a separable unital residually finite dimensional \(C^*\)-algebra and also investigates several properties of the inductive limit such as simplicity, real rank, topological stable rank, and TAF. It is also shown that a TAF algebra has topological stable rank \(1\) (see Lemma 2 and Theorem 3 of \textit{K. R. Goodearl} [Publ. Mat., Barc. 36, No. 2A, 637-654 (1992; Zbl 0812.46052)]).
