On a three-dimensional problem of diagnostics in the wave approximation. (Q1608237)

In this paper the authors consider the problem of nonhomogeneity identification in homogeneous physical media by observations on propagation through these media of the fields described by the scalar wave model. An explicit analytical expression is obtained for the inverse operator. Such problems are of considerable practical importance for nondestructive control, diagnostics, and geoexploration.
