For a theory of gravity which contains, besides the metrical tensor, two real scalar fields, the authors deduce the cosmological solutions of the Friedmann type. They apply Noether symmetries to simplify the equations, and they compare with the Brans-Dicke theory, which contains only one scalar field. Their solutions are able to explain models with two inflationary stages of cosmic evolution.
