This paper starts with brief review of the basic concepts in Finsler geometry. In section 3, it is recalled that the particle trajectories in a space time in the presence of both gravitational and nongravitational forces follows a Vlasov equation. The trajectories of this equation are the integral line of a vector field in the Finsler spacetime tangent bundle. The author discusses the theory of maximal-acceleration invariant quantum fields based on the differential geometry of the spacetime tangent bundle. The conclusion of this work is that quantum field theory is an important bridge between mathematics and physics and its theory must be based on the Finslerian geometry of the spacetime tangent bundle.
