Output feedback invariants (Q1611926)

The reviewed paper is concerned with the problem of determining a complete set of invariants of a linear time-invariant system under the action of a full feedback group. Using tools from geometric invariant theory, the authors show that there exists a quasi-projective variety whose points parametrize the output feedback orbits in a unique way. If the McMillan degree \(n \geq mp\), \(mp\) being the product of the number of inputs and the number of outputs, then they prove that in the closure of every feedback orbit there is exactly one nondegenerate system.
