The class of parallel two-step W-methods possess a high potential for parallelization. Simplifying conditions for the construction of methods having higher order and stage order are obtained and convergence results are proved. Conditions for stiff accuracy are given. According to the analysis for constant step-sizes these methods possess good stability properties and stiffly accurate methods seem to be a promising choice. Tests show that these methods in combination with Krylov techniques are competitive for large stiff problems.
