To each \(n\)-dimensional complex manifold \(M\) there is associated its fiber \(R^r(M)\), where its fibers are the germs of \(r\)-jets of charts. On each fiber we have the action of the group \(D^r({\mathbb C}^{n})\), the germs of locally biholomorphic maps of \({\mathbb C}^{n}\) fixing \(0\). A geometric holomorphic structure of type \(Z\) (a quasi-projective variety with an algebraic action of \(D^r({\mathbb C}^{n})\)) and order \(r\) on \(M\) is a holomorphic map \(\phi:R^r(M) \to Z\) such that \(\phi(s \cdot g)=g^{-1} \cdot \phi(s)\), for every \(s \in R^r(M)\) and every \(g \in D^r({\mathbb C}^{n})\). In case that \(Z\) is affine, the above is called an affine geometric holomorphic structure. In the first part of the article, the author classifies all affine geometric holomorphic structures for the case of closed Riemann surfaces. This is done as consequence of Riemann-Roch's theorem and a classification of all algebraic linear representations of \({\mathbb C}^{*}\) in the complex vector space \({\mathbb C}^{k}\). A \(G\)-structure is a geometric holomorphic structure \(\phi:R^r(M) \to Z\) so that \(\phi(R^r(M))\) is a \(D^r({\mathbb C}^{n})\)-orbit. In the second part, the author is concerned with the following conjecture: Every affine holomorphic \(G\)-structure on a closed complex manifold is locally homogeneous. Respect to this conjecture, he proves that it holds true when \(M\) is a closed complex surface and the affine \(G\)-structure has connected and distinguished isotropy.
