Due to the unique mechanical properties of analyzed materials which are used in hot section parts of jet and land gas turbines, stress relaxation under cyclic deformation has to be described precisely in order to calculate the creep damage. Starting from presented studies, the authors perform experiments on a test material formed in round bars for monotonic tension, and collar-head bars for creep. Diagrams show the stress-strain or stress-cycle number variations, hysteresis loop for different strain rates, the levels, etc. Simulations emphasize large variations between experiments and calculations, the pronounced growth of mean stresses in cyclic tests, and the shift of hysteretic loop toward compressive direction with static recovery. The theory describes the dynamic recovery of back stress non satisfactorily theoretically. Accordingly, the initially considered nonlinear kinematic hardening model including back stress, accumulated strain rate, overstress invariant, evolution equation of back stress and material constants is generalized by including a second-rank tensor corresponding to a substructure of material which reduces the effect of back stress, and also satisfies an evolutionary equation with two constants describing its evolution rate and the saturation value. Again, plotted results show a better agreement with simulation procedures.
