Oscillation theory of linear systems (Q1614723)

The author considers a strongly continuous semigroup \(T\) with generator \(A\) in a real Banach space \(X\). It is shown that if the spectrum of the generator \(A\) of semigroup \(T\) has no nonnegative real values then almost all points in \(X\) strongly oscillate. In the case, when \(A\) generates a strongly continuous group, all points strongly oscillate. The obtained results are applied to the strong oscillation of solutions to difference, differential and functional-differential equations.
