The authors prove a non-vanishing result for the central values of the standard $L$-functions attached to level one Maass cusp forms on $\mathrm{GL}(3)$ over base field $\mathbb{Q}$. Their result implies that a positive proportion of these $L$-values are non-zero when counted with certain `harmonic' weights. The proof uses the Kuznetsov trace formula for $\mathrm{GL}(3)$ in the form given by \textit{J. Buttcane} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 368, No. 9, 6683--6714 (2016; Zbl 1354.11032)], which makes use of the $\mathrm{GL}(3)$ Kloosterman sums introduced by \textit{D. Bump} et al. [Acta Arith. 50, No. 1, 31--89 (1988; Zbl 0647.10020)]. The authors employ this formula and the mollification method to estimate the mollified first and second moments of the central $L$-values.
