The walk dimension of the Sierpiński gasket is determined in the paper under review without the usual sub-Gaussian heat kernel estimates of the diffusion. Instead, one studies a regularized Dirichlet form on the Martin compactification of the Sierpiński graph, corresponding to a suitable random walk on that graph.
