Continuous maps preserving Jordan triple products from \(\mathbb{U}_n\) to \(\mathbb{D}_m\) (Q1629133)

The authors present general results on Jordan triple product maps between complex unitary groups or various orders. The main result describes the general form of all continuous Jordan triple product maps from the complex unitary group to its subgroup that consists of square diagonal matrices whose diagonal elements are complex numbers of modulus one. Moreover, they characterize the general form of all continuous maps between such latter subgroups of various orders.
