Let \(\mathbb{L}^{n+2}\) denote the \((n+2)\)-dimensional Lorentz-Minkowski space, i.e., the real vector space \(\mathbb{R}^{n+2}\) with the Lorentzian metric \(\langle v,w \rangle=\sum_{i=1}^{n+1} v_{i}w_{i}-v_{n+2}w_{n+2}\). Also, the \((n+1)\)-dimensional hyperbolic space \[ \mathbb{H}^{n+1}=\{p\in \mathbb{L}^{n+2}; \langle p,p \rangle =-1, p_{n+2}\geq 1\} \] is a space-like hypersurface of \(\mathbb{L}^{n+2}\). Consider \(\psi:\Sigma^{n}\rightarrow \mathbb{H}^{n+1} \subset\mathbb{L}^{n+2}\), a two-sided hypersurface which means there exists a globally defined unit normal vector field \(N\) on \(\Sigma^{n}\). For the Weingarten operator \(A\) with respect to \(N\), and for \(0\leq r\leq n\), let \(S_{r}(p)\) denote the \(r\)-th elementary symmetric function in the eigenvalues of \(A\) at each point \(p\in M\). Then one can define the \(r\)-th mean curvature \(H_{r}\) of \(\Sigma^{n}\) by \[ \begin{pmatrix} n\\ r \end{pmatrix} H_{r}=S_{r} \] The two-sided hypersurface is called \((r,s)\)-linear Weingarten \((0\leq r\leq s),\) if there exist nonnegative real numbers \(b_{r},\dots,b_{s}\) (at least one of them nonzero) such that \[ \sum_{k=r}^{s}b_{k}H_{k+1}=d\in \mathbb{R}. \] Here is one result appearing in the paper. Theorem 2: Let \(\psi:\Sigma^{n}\rightarrow \mathbb{H}^{n+1}\) be a complete \((r,s)\)-linear Weingarten hypersurface with positive \((s+1)\)-th mean curvature. Suppose that \(\Sigma^{n}\) has an elliptic point and that its Gauss image lies in a totally umbilical space-like hypersurface of \(\mathbb{S}_{1}^{n+1}\) orthogonal to some nonzero vector \(a\in \mathbb{L}^{n+2}\). If \(|a^{\perp}|\in \mathcal{L}^{1}(\Sigma)\), the space of Lebeque integrable functions and divergence on \(\Sigma^{n}\), then \(\Sigma^{n}\) is a totally umbilical hypersurface of \(\mathbb{H}^{n+1}\) orthogonal to \(a\). At the end of the paper, using an example of hyperbolic cylinder, a compactness condition is needed for their first result.
