    Recall that, for \(p \in (0,\infty)\) and \(\alpha>0\), the standard weighted Fock space \(F^p_\alpha\) consists of the entire functions \(f\) with \[ \|f\|_{p,\alpha}^p:=\int_{\mathbb{C}}|f(z)|^p e^{-\frac{p\alpha}{2}|z|^2} dm(z)<\infty. \] Korenblum's maximum principle asks for the existence of \(R:=R(p,\alpha)>0\), so that if \(f,g\) are entire and \(|f(z)|\leq |g(z)|\) when \(|z|>R\), then \(\|f\|_{p,\alpha}\leq \|g\|_{p,\alpha}\). It is known that if \(p\geq 1\), then such \(R\) exists. The article under review shows that if \(p \in (0,1)\), then no \(R\) as above can be found. In fact, concrete counterexamples are provided. The corresponding result for the Bergman spaces of the unit disk was recently obtained in [\textit{V. Božin} and \textit{B. Karapetrović}, Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 146, No. 6, 2577--2584 (2018; Zbl 1391.30065)]. The methods and examples of the present work are similar to those of the reference. However, in the Fock space setting, some different estimates are needed.
