The paper deals with the boundary blow-up problem \[ \begin{cases} \Delta u=f(u) &\text{in } B \\ u=+\infty &\text{on } \partial B, \end{cases} \] where \(B\) is the unit ball in \(\mathbb{R}^N,\) \(f\) is a locally Lipschitz continuous function that is positive for large values of the argument and satisfies the Keller-Osserman condition \[ \int_{t_0}^\infty \frac{ds}{\sqrt{F(s)}}<+\infty,\quad F(s)=\int_0^s f(t)\;dt. \] Under additional (somewhat restrictive) hypothesis on the asymptotic behavior of \(f,\) the authors show that all solutions of the above problem are radially symmetric and radially increasing.
