The paper under review is devoted to the study of the Auslander-Reiten quiver of a class of finite-dimensional algebras known as Brauer graph algebras. The concept of Brauer graph algebras has been introduced by R. Brauer in the context of modular representation theory of finite groups. Note that from results of \textit{K. W. Roggenkamp} [in: Algebras and modules II. Eighth international conference on representations of algebras, Geiranger, Norway, August 4--10, 1996. Providence, RI: American Mathematical Society. 481--496 (1998; Zbl 0955.16019)] and \textit{S. Schroll} [J. Algebra 444, 183--200 (2015; Zbl 1330.16010)] we know that the class of Brauer graph algebras coincides with the class of symmetric special biserial algebras. In the paper the author provides an algorithm for constructing the stable Auslander-Reiten component containing a given indecomposable module of a symmetric special biserial algebra using only information from its underlying Brauer graph. He shows that the structure of the Auslander-Reiten quiver is closely related to the distinct Green walks of the Brauer graph and details the relationship between the precise shape of the stable Auslander-Reiten components for domestic Brauer graph algebras and their underlying graph. Moreover, using this algorithm the author shows that the specific component containing a given simple or indecomposable projective module for any Brauer graph algebra is determined by the edge in the Brauer graph associated to the module.
