The authors extend their result from [Isr. J. Math. 209, Part 1, 187--197 (2015; Zbl 1329.54033)] to the following: if \(f:E\to F\) is continuous and surjective, where \(E\)~is complete and separable metric, and \(F\)~is non-\(\sigma\)-compact and metric then \(E\)~has a relatively discrete subset~\(S\) with the property that whenever a complete and separable metric space~\(M\) contains isometric copies of every closed-in-\(E\) subsets of~\(S\) it also contains an isometric copy of some fiber of~\(f\). As an application they answer a question from Pearl's Problem List [\textit{E. Pearl} (ed.), Open problems in topology. II. Amsterdam: Elsevier (2007; Zbl 1158.54300)] by showing that the set of zero-dimensional elements is not a Souslin set in the Wijsman-hyperspace of closed subsets of the product \(\mathbb{P}\times[0,1]\) of the space of irrationals and the unit interval.
