The authors investigate quantum compression relative to a set of measurements in finite dimensional Hilbert spaces. They introduce a compression map and a decompression map with both of them completely positive and trace preserving. Then they provide bounds on the compression dimension with two different approaches, one is an operator algebraic and the other an algebraic-geometric approach.
