In this article the author study Morse-Novikov cohomology for all known compact complex surfaces with locally conformally Kähler metrics. The Morse-Novikov cohomology of a manifold \(M\) is obtained by deforming the de Rham differential operator \(d\) with a closed 1-form \(\eta\) as follows \[ d_\eta\alpha=d\alpha-\eta\wedge\alpha, \] for any differential form \(\alpha\in\Omega^*(M).\) Since \(\eta\) is closed \(d_\eta\) produces a cohomology denoted by \(H^*_\eta(M).\) Recall that a Hermitian structure \((g,J)\) on a manifold \(M\) is called LCK if there exists an open covering \(\{U_i\}_i\) of \(M\) and some smooth functions \(f_i\) on \(U_i\) such that each local metric \(g_i=e^{-f_i}g\) is a Kähler metric on \(U_i\). Equivalently, this means that there exist a closed 1-form \(\theta\) satisfying \(d\omega=\theta\wedge\omega\) where \(\omega\) is the fundamental \(2\)-form of the Hermitian structure. This 1-form \(\theta\) is uniquely determined by the equation above and it is called the Lee form. The main results of this work are to compute the Morse-Novikov cohomology for Inoue surfaces \(S^0\), \(S^+\) and \(S^-\). Also, generators for their corresponding cohomology groups are given. Using the explicit computations of Morse-Novikov cohomology with respect to all closed one forms of \(S^0\) the author describes all possible Lee forms on an LCK metric on \(S^0\). Finally, a discussion of the Morse-Novikov cohomology of other compact complex surfaces which are known to admit LCK metrics is given.
