Structural stability and vibration. An integrated introduction by analytical and numerical methods (Q1650620)

This book is based on lecture notes for an introductory course on stability of vibrations of elastic structures. The presentation is divided into 16 chapters, a reference section and an index. The material is presented in the standard way for this type of books; however, in many places, newer results, most of which from research papers of the second author, are presented or referenced. This greatly increases the level and quality of the presentation. Finally, the book presents, at several places, Fortran code for the numerical solution of certain problems. This makes the presentation student-friendly. In conclusion, the book presents a useful addition to the existing literature on the subject and, in my opinion, fulfills the goals stated in the preface.
