This article is a contribution to an ongoing discussion in the geometric algebra community on how to represent quadrics in three space within a conformal geometric algebra framework. The authors use the conformal geometry of \(\mathbb{R}^{9,6}\) for this purpose and demonstrate how to construct lines, planes, spheres, and quadrics as wedge products of two, three, four, and nine points, respectively, with certain fixed multivectors. Incidence of a point with these basic objects is expressed by the vanishing of the point-object wedge product. The algebra under investigation is not only capable of expressing quadrics but also quadric normals, quadric tangents and the intersections of two quadrics. The latter property and the ability to compute a quadric as a wedge product of nine of its points distinguishes this article's approach from others. On the downside, it is unclear whether quadrics can be transformed via versors and the high algebra dimension demands high computational resources. However, preliminary timing results indicate that a good implementation can heavily profit from the sparseness of multivectors that represent basic objects.
