Call an (autonomous) dynamical system on \(I\) a pair \((X,f)\), where \(X\) is a compact metric space and \(f:X\to X\) is a continuous selfmap. It is known from [\textit{N. Franzová} and \textit{J. Smítal}, Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 112, No. 4, 1083--1086 (1991; Zbl 0735.26005)] that the dynamical system \((I,f)\), where \(I\) is a compact interval, is Li-Yorke chaotic if and only if there exists a sequence \(S\) of integers such that \(h_S(f)>0\), where \(h_S(-)\) denotes the sequence topological entropy from [\textit{T. N. T. Goodman}, Proc. Lond. Math. Soc. (3) 29, 331--350 (1974; Zbl 0293.54043)]. The notion of Li-Yorke chaos for a nonautonomous dynamical system \((X,f_{1,\infty})\), i.e., \(X\) is a compact metric space and \(f_{1,\infty}\) is a sequence of surjective continuous selfmaps of \(X\) converging uniformly to a limit selfmap \(f:X\to X\), was studied in [\textit{M. Štefánková}, Discrete Contin. Dyn. Syst. 36, No. 6, 3435--3443 (2016; Zbl 1342.37019)] and [\textit{J. S. Cánovas}, J. Difference Equ. Appl. 17, No. 4, 479--486 (2011; Zbl 1221.37080)]. The sequence topological entropy was introduced in this setting in [\textit{S. Kolyada} and \textit{L. Snoha}, Random Comput. Dyn. 4, No. 2--3, 205--233 (1996; Zbl 0909.54012)]. With respect to the above recalled result for autonomous dynamical systems, in [\textit{J. Šotolová}, Topological sequence entropy of nonautonomous dynamical systems. Diploma Thesis, Silesian University of Opava (2016)] one can find an example of a nonautonomous dynamical system \((I,f_{1,\infty})\) which is Li-Yorke chaotic and with \(h_S(f_{1,\infty})=0\) for every sequence \(S\) of integers. In the present paper, an example is given of a nonautonomous dynamical system \((I,f_{1,\infty})\) which is not Li-Yorke chaotic but with \(h_S(f_{1,\infty})>0\) for some sequence \(S\) of integers.
