Some sufficient conditions for the existence and construction of a random exponential attractor for a continuous cocycle on a separable Banach space are established. As an application, a model of stochastic nonautonomous damped wave equation driven by linear multiplicative white noise with small coefficient when the nonlinearity is cubic is introduced. Further, upper semicontinuity, regularity and finiteness of the fractal dimension of attractors are obtained. The article can be very useful for researches in asymptotic analysis of random dynamical systems generated by stochastic partial differential equations.
