The author proves the existence of \(C^{1, \alpha}\)-regular \(L^p\)viscosity solutions of fully nonlinear second order parabolic equations like \[ \partial_t u + H(v, Dv, D^2v, t, x)=0 \] allowing the main part of H to have small discontinuities with respect to \(x\) and be just measurable in \(t\). Useful tool is the maximum principle, which reduces the matter to some specific estimates. The authors point out that, since they have to have sufficiently smooth solutions in the above argument, they use cut-off equations and finite-differences to avoid using third-order derivatives.
